What Q-Score Really Is#
Q-Score is a deterministic mathematical function analyzing real-time tape prints, aggressive volume velocity (CVD), and immediate price reaction.
The score oscillates between negative values (selling pressure dominance) and positive values (buying pressure dominance). The numerical scale reflects the density and consistency of aggressive market orders.
How We Interpret Q-Score on the Bridge#
In Heniu’s telemetry, Q-Score summarizes the state of the force balance:
- Positive values (> +20): Aggressive buying absorbs passive sell liquidity; short-term upward momentum.
- Negative values (< -20): Aggressive selling dominates the book; downward supply pressure.
- Neutral zone (-20 to +20): Force equilibrium, consolidation without a clear volume aggressor.
Historical probability mappings (e.g. “direction probability 62%”) represent heuristic mappings of momentum vector magnitude — they are not predictive statistical guarantees.
What Q-Score Does NOT Do#
According to Heniu’s Constitution (Art. II & Art. IV), Q-Score is not a crystal ball nor a signal from the future. It strictly measures the physical pressure of the market here-and-now. It measures the wind speed, not the destination of the ship.
